Update: 06/09/2023 View: 569

The Yen Xa Wastewater Treatment Plant Project (in Thanh Tri, Hanoi) commenced construction in early October 2016, with a total investment of over 800 million USD (more than 16,000 billion VND), of which 84% comes from Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA).

The plant covers an area of 13.8 hectares, situated in the Yen Xa plain, adjacent to the dual carriageway connecting Nguyen Xien to Xa La (Hà Đông district). This project is considered one of the largest and most urgent-scale wastewater treatment projects in Hanoi.

The designed capacity is 270,000 cubic meters per day, accounting for 55% of Hanoi's wastewater volume. Once completed, the plant will treat a significant portion of wastewater discharged into the To Lich River, Lư River, Set River, and a portion of the Nhue River.
